WOW!!! I'm seriously hooked on this series and this author!!!
This continuation of Awaken just takes you deeper into the chemistry between Paige and Riley and everything they are fighting for.
I love that Riley finally learns a bit more about his father after finding the final resting place of the protector and learning the dark truth behind his disappearance and the madness that happens to Eva. Paige finally learns how to use her magic, even if she does think she has to use Riley as a bridge to use it.
The double cross that comes towards the end however...TOTAL SURPRISE!!! I never saw that one coming...although something tells me that either Benjamin or Bruno are the cloaked figure from the vision memory they were shown.
Finally getting the relic only to learn that they had it the entire time, AND learning that the gate to Hell has been opened and they are the only ones that can close it.
From beginning to end this book is full of suspense and twists you wouldn't think of.
As for the ending...REALLY!!!!??? Not how I saw this book ending AT ALL!!!
Book 3 really needs to hurry and come out already!!
This book gets 5 stars from me
