Review: The Genius and The Muse by Elizabeth Hunter
I have to admit that I really wasn't sure what to think about this book once I started reading it, especially since this isn't what I'm used to her writing. With that being said the beginning was a bit slow and bit difficult to understand where this was suppose to be going, but after the first few chapters she hooks you. I really like Kate, she is stubborn and true to herself all the way through the story, even when she doesn't really know what is going on. I particularly love the fact that while she is trying to understand the love of her "hero" Reed O'Connor and the love of his life Samantha Rhodes she is in turn finding the same kind of love with Javi, even if it does take much of the book for her really realize that he has it just as bad for her as she has for him. This is a very different type of story to read from this author, especially after reading her Elemental Mysteries series (I highly recommend reading that entire series, including the novella's and the off shoot series as well) All in all I give this book a 4 star mostly because of the slow start...I really had to push myself to get past those first few chapters but I'm glad I did!!
